Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Honor one another above yourselves. Romans 12:9-10
Hi! I enjoyed reading your blog because my name is Miriam and I'm 17 too! I am the fourth of seven kids in my family and I usually have my hair in one long braid as well. Interesting! I also believe in dressing modestly and love the Lord. Our family has a blog at www.greenpasturesfarm.blogspot.com Have a great day! -Miriam Joy
Lovely pictures, Miriam dear! I especially like the lighting on the last one - was it like that, or did you edit the lighting a little bit? It's so perfect!
Hi Miriam! It's always fun to find other people with my name. The fourth of seven kids like me. That is so neat!
Anna, There is a setting on our camera that makes it look like that. It works really well in certain lightings. I think I have decided that I like taking pictures in "sepia" better than color. Sepia is the above picture.
I have started following blogs in igoogle, so I saw the title of your post before I saw the content. For some strange reading, I immediately guessed you were referring to reading...
Beth, The second setting I used was 'vivid'. Our camera is a Sony DSC-H5. My mother debated for the longest on what camera she wanted to buy and finally decided on this one. It's takes excellent pictures, but it's not an easily portable camera (just a little annoying). I'm planning on getting myself a camera soon that I can carry with me everywhere.
I'm a 19 year old from a family of 9. I have five
brothers, three of whom are
married, and one sister.
I am a daughter of the King, saved by his Son and living in His love. I live under the protection of my parents home and their guiding hands so that I can learn from them while I grow older. (Psalm 62:5).
I often lose my temper when things don't work out and patience is something I daily strive to achieve. Another life verse of mine is Proverbs 15:1. I love to show my love for Jesus through my music. Anything I have learned musically, I have given to Jesus. Most of all, I love living the life that God has given me. To wake up in the morning and breathe Life is something we so often take for granted, but is such a wonder.
"The biggest threat to religion isn't all the wickedness around us, but good that comes from a source refusing to acknowledge God."
You know what music is? God's little reminder that there's something else besides us in this universe; harmonic connection between all living beings, every where, even the stars. - August Rush
Give me a truth that works, and a God who makes me tremble. - Eric Ludy

Miriam,
Your pictures turned out great!
Is sepia a setting on your camera? Also, what setting did you use for the second pic?
What brand/model is your camera?
Thanks,
Beth
Beautiful pictures! Reading is one of my favorite things to do too!
