My Latest Project

Joel's fiancee, Racheal, asked me to make the bridesmaid dresses for her wedding, so my life will soon be busier with making five dresses. Mother and I decided to make a sample dress first just to see how the dress worked and if there might be any problems we would need to fix. But the dress went together very quickly and easily. I can't wait to start on the dresses! Watching the dress come to shape while sewing is so much fun.

This is my sample dress.

With my hair braided.

A beautiful dress!

What did you use to make it, just a plain cotton? It looks lovely, I'm sure the fancy version will look fantastic. :)

Lovely new blog, by the way. Adding you to my blogroll!

The dress looks very lovely!! And to think that's a sheet =)

I was getting to that, Ella. =)

Kyriaki,
I made this out of a queen-size cotton flat bedsheet. We had bought this for the purpose of something like this, but I never thought it would look so nice.

I was quite pleasantly surprised.

The pattern is McCall's #3954.

Anna used the same pattern for her sister's bridesmaid dresses.
